Yes, you can take your car to one of those quick drive through car wash machines, but over time the harsh chemicals and rough bristles of the scrubbers are going to scratch and fade your paint. The amount of time a detail takes varies. The size of the vehicle, type of service, as well as the level of contamination can all vary from one detail to another. Generally speaking, a small sedan that is moderatly dirty, can be detailed within 1-4 hours. We reccomend a complete detail at least once every season. In addition, a maintance wash every 2-4 weeks. This keeps your car looking great all year round and protects it from the harsh elements. Light scratches can be removed by compounding/polishing the surface of the affected area. If scratches have only gone through one or two coats of clear coat, they can be wet sanded out.
